STEAM SCIENCE: PROGRESS THROUGH HIGHER TECHNOLOGY!

THE GLORIES OF MODERN ENGINEERING:
As vessels of steel cross the oceans which divide the continents; as steel rails traverse the continents linking city with city; as glorious buildings of steel rise to scrape the sky in those cities, linked by the wonders of the telegraph, we of the Modern Age must give thanks to those champions of science who have united the World into a single cosmopolitan body politic, with a skeleton of steel, nerves of eletrical wires, and the mechanical "brains" of Analytical Engines.

THE GLORIES OF ANALYTICAL ENGINES:
With the ever-increasing size and complexity of the Analytical Engine, first devised by Mr. Babbage and taught to "think" by Lady Lovelace, the tedium of those essential calculations upon which so much of Modern Life depends have reduced to insignificance. Infallible "mechanical brains" carry on the most mundane and repetitive tasks which were hitherto the bane of human minds, functioning without weariness or error.

THE GLORIES OF MODERN EXPLORATION:
From the darkest and most savage jungles of Africa and South America to the trackless wastes of Asiatic deserts; from the bowels of the Earth to the farthest reaches of the sky, daring advenurers and brilliant scientists have enlarged the horizons of Modern Man far beyond anything dreamt of in prior ages. Modern Science has placed the whole of the Cosmos within the grasp of Man.
